Acro Project
Acrobatic yoga is characterised by the blending of two or more people in a harmony of motion and balance as they progress from one position to another through inventive and surprising transitions. It is a sort of flow of understanding and a connection that has so many possibilities. Inspired by all this is a visual identity for Marek Petráček – a czech acroyoga master. Its typography and cloud arrays represent that typical dimensional flow of forms.

Dimensional lettering flow
The typography for this project is all based on the characterisation of acrobatic yoga and its essential movement through space. Similarly to that the grid-based original letter forms are pushed into 3D with extrusion and rotated freely. Every time a letter is used it gets captured in a different position in space. It is almost like pausing a motion that just wants to continue.
The resulting lettermark has several versions that cover all needed applications flexibly. All versions retain the physical modelation in space that makes the letters seem more like live forms in motion.

The process of generating letters starts with a rather simplistic grid-based set of custom glyphs.

Extruding the linear glyph creates the effect of depth. It turns a line into a body in space.
